Chair Before & After

March 30, 2011 by Elizabeth Boland

Ahhh before and after photos, one of my favorite things about decorating! Some people see a ratty old chair, I see potential. Two chairs, two totally different looks.

My Chair: Since I am donating it to my old High School (all girls school, hence the color scheme) auction, I chose fun bright fabrics to re-upholster it with. The throw pillow is not finished but it is being done in old Lilly Pulitzer fabric. I will post more pictures next week!

Moms Chair: She chose to re-upholster the chair with the most amazing skull tapestry she purchased on eBay from England. She mixed that in with different black and white fabric from Calico Corners and painted her arms and legs black.

About Elizabeth Boland

I am a wife, Mom, and an Interior Designer. I love my job, and I love the fact that I get to work with one of my best friends. My Mom and I are partners in our Washington DC based design firm, Wilson Boland Design. In January 2010, we opened an Interior Design Studio in downtown Bethesda, which has evolved just as much as our business!

I started Haute Indoor Couture in the spring of 2011 to share portfolio pictures, inspiring ideas, and fellow designers with our clients and friends. I live for Interior Design and I love sharing my passion and enthusiasm with my readers. Most of the content you will find here is interior design, architecture, fashion, or canine related. Ready for your next project? Let's work together!
